World Cheapest Smartphone

Google and Reliance Jio have introduced the world's 'cheapest' smartphone Jio Phone Next.

The two companies announced the launch of this phone in June 2021 and now it has been introduced.

This low-cost smartphone has the Progressive OS, an optimized version of Android that will allow access to apps through the Play Store.

According to the company, the phone will be available to online and retail partners from November 4.

This is a 4G phone which has been declared as the cheapest phone in the world by the company.

The phone features Red Aloud and Language Translation for on-screen text.

The phone's camera is equipped with SnapChat lenses, while voice first features are also part of the device.

The phone comes with a 5.45-inch HD Plus display with Corning Glass 3 protection.

The back of the phone provides 13-megapixel HDR support while the 8-megapixel camera is provided for selfies.

The phone has a 3500 mAh battery, Qualcomm's quad-core QM215 processor, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. The storage can be further expanded with an SD card.

It is a dual SIM phone priced at $87.

No announcement has been made by the companies regarding the availability of phones outside India.

Google announced in July 2020 that it would invest billions of dollars in Reliance.

Google said in a statement that it would work with Jio to develop a cheaper smartphone.

Google said it expects investment in the Jio platform to help reach more people with smartphones, especially in India, where few people have access to the Internet and smartphones.
