The new MacBook Pros are very easy to repair. Previously, it was very difficult to repair terminals, which caused prices to become enormously expensive.
Apple has shown what the interior of the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros looks like, however, a group dedicated to seeing the repairability of technology products has already been "messing around" and brings very good news.
The iFixit team has explained that removing the batteries from previous MacBook Pros required "infinite patience, a bottle of isopropyl alcohol, and an optional bottle of human alcohol." They expected the same from this generation of laptops, but they have been incredibly surprised by the presence of tabs that make the whole process much easier.
The outer battery cells have pull tabs that are used for pulling to separate them from their adhesive underneath. Even the central battery cells have pull tabs; they are harder to find inside the chassis as they are under the trackpad. iFixit was able to confirm that laptops will recognize and work well with battery replacements, which is not very common.
In addition, most of the ports on the new MacBook Pros, except for the SD card reader and the HDMI port, are modular. That means they can be easily and inexpensively replaced if they suddenly break or malfunction.
