Apple Is Also Interested In Buying TikTok

The United States is pressuring Chinese technology company Bite Dance to sell its popular video application, TikTok.

Now a report says that the well-known company Apple is also interested in buying TikTok.

The Axis report claims, citing sources, that Apple is one of several companies interested in buying a popular social media app, such as TikTok.

Apple did not respond to a request for comment, but Bloomberg reporters said in a statement that the company was not in talks to buy TikTok and was not interested in a deal.

On the other hand, Fox Business said in its report that both Google and Facebook have shown interest in buying Tik Tok in the past and Tik Tok is getting several offers.

Google and Facebook did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

According to the company, Microsoft is committed to a full security review of the purchase of TikTok and seeks to provide appropriate economic benefits to the United States.

Negotiations with Bite Dance will be completed by September 15, 2020, and if successful, Microsoft will purchase the app's operations in certain markets, including the United States.

Microsoft will be responsible for running the service in the United States, as well as in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, while Byte Dance will run the app's operations in other markets.

Microsoft will ensure that the private data of American citizens is transferred to the United States, and local governments will be offered a security review.

The US branch of TikTok is valued at between 15 billion to 30 billion.

The Indian government justified the ban on these apps by justifying security risks and protecting user data.
