With its new design, the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 are 15% smaller than the Galaxy Buds Pro that were available until now and, like these, they have an active ambient noise cancellation system that attenuates some annoying noises, such as the aircraft engine or road traffic, to make it easier to hear. In addition to this cancellation mode, the headphones also have a transparency mode that allows sound to pass through despite physically blocking the ear canal. This is useful, for example, to listen to traffic or a conversation when playing sports or walking around town.

Integration with the Samsung ecosystem brings advantages. The earphones, for example, can automatically switch between different sound sources (a feature dubbed Auto Switch) and setup is a breeze, just hold them up to a Galaxy phone and follow the on-screen instructions.

They have support for 24-bit high-fidelity audio and two-way speakers (a tweeter for mid and high frequencies and a woofer for low frequencies) that make the sound richer and more detailed.

The earphones have a battery life of up to 5 hours of use with noise cancellation activated or up to 8 hours without it, while the carrying case provides up to 18 hours of additional battery life with noise cancellation or up to 29 hours without it.
