Elon Musk Buys Twitter For $43 Billion

Twitter would have finally accepted the offer. Musk got the money thanks to the support of various financial groups.

It could be official in a few minutes. According to Reuters, Twitter is about to agree to sell the company to Elon Musk for 43,000 million (40 billion euros) in cash in what the South African businessman considers "his best and last offer of him". According to Reuters sources, the purchase could be virtually certain unless something messes it up at the last minute.

Musk would be the owner of Twitter personally, without the intervention of any of his companies (Tesla, SpaceX or Hyperloop). Neither Twitter nor Elon Musk have said anything official yet, since the situation is extremely confidential. However, Twitter shares have already risen as much as 4.5%.

Among other things, Musk wants to reduce the price of Twitter's premium service, as well as the removal of advertising for them. Among other objectives, it has marked the need to end the trolls on the platform.

However, many users fear that the power of Twitter remains in one hand.

Twitter adds the subtitles button on its platform

Until now, subtitles worked automatically on Twitter. When you had the video on silent they were activated, and if you activated the sound they disappeared. This sometimes caused bugs where subtitle playback would not appear when you needed it to.

Twitter Status And Named It 'Vibe'

For this reason, the support team of the social media company has declared that the automatic subtitles button is already available for some iOS users, and that it will soon arrive on Android. According to Digital Trends, they are testing the new feature for videos that already have closed captions available first, giving users the option to turn them off or on.

In December 2021, Twitter added automatic captions to videos, which only show up when people turn on accessibility settings on their phones. Little by little things have been changing, and they are becoming more useful for all users. More and more companies add subtitles to their videos as it is not so easy to listen to videos with audio in all conditions.
