There are basically three positions when using the Laptop Studio: the first is like a traditional laptop, a screen that can be folded at various angles as you would expect from any computer; the second allows to support the screen just above the trackpad and hide the keyboard (it is a good way to watch a movie, for example); and the third is the aforementioned that puts the screen on the keyboard at a slightly inclined angle and perfect for drawing.
In the latter form, in a way, the Surface Laptop Studio transforms into a tablet, although it is quite heavy to use as such.
The screen has a frequency of 120 Hz, which suits the new animations of Windows 11 very well, and an excellent color reproduction and level of brightness and contrast. It's perfect for watching videos or working on graphic documents, and the notebook comes with a new, more precise digital pen.

Drawing freehand or writing is not exactly like doing it on paper, but the feeling is very good, much better than on other Surface models with the previous version of the pen.
OUTSTANDING DESIGN

Port selection is somewhat tight but sufficient. The Laptop Studio includes a pair of Thunderbolt 4s, a headphone jack, and a Surface Connect port for the laptop's main charger, which connects magnetically, although the computer can also be charged via USB-C.

Overall, this is a laptop designed for creative users with a strong focus on graphic arts. It is evident from the first minute of use. In that sense, it is a powerful team although not too much, especially considering that it is theoretically the most advanced laptop in the Surface range.
The equipment that we have tested in THE WORLD had an Intel 11 generation i7 processor, 32 GB of RAM 1 Tb of disk and an Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card. It is enough even to move games with enough ease, although it cannot be considered a gaming laptop.

It offers another cool feature, and it's a pretty decent battery considering its semi-professional aspirations. It's easy to get 10 hours of light use out of this machine, especially if you sacrifice the 120Hz refresh rate.
