The test of negative votes began in July of last year for a group of iOS users with the aim of knowing the relevance of a response to a publication, to continue working on new systems with which the platform could show more content considered relevant by users.
These downvotes are collected from a new interaction button that has been paired with the one that expresses 'Like'.
"Soon" will also be available to more Twitter web, Android and iOS users globally, as reported through its Twitter Safety profile on the social network.

The company has stressed that negative votes are not shown publicly, unlike the 'Like', which can be seen by users of the platform.
