DARPA: US Spy Drone Submarine Project Enters New Phase

The  Menta Ray Drone Program, an automated deep-sea drones project, has entered its second and new phase under the auspices of the US Defense Research Organization (DARPA).

The underwater drone will have large, outstretched wings that will make it look like a 'Menta Ray' fish.

All that is known from the news about this is that the size of 'Menta Ray Underwater Drones' will be very large but so far their final size has not been determined.

Two US defense agencies, Northrop Grumman and the Martin Defense Group, have been selected for the new phase, which will develop their own real-size Menta Ray drones.

Whichever design the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) deems more appropriate, will be selected for the final and production phase.

'Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) of the , the reach of any US long distance at sea should be able to stay in long term safe and effective in the salty sea water.

In addition, DARPA requires that drones require minimal human intervention for repairs and maintenance, while also having powerful batteries that can recharge themselves with seawater flow.

Refurbished Devices Or Second-Hand

In addition to all of these features, Menta Ray drones must be equipped with sensitive equipment so that they can detect remote locations in the depths of the ocean and allow US forces to detect the movement of enemy submarines and ships in a timely manner.

With the completion of this project, the US military will be able to spy in space, air and land as well as in the depths of the sea.
