Google's First Foldable Smartphone Is Expected To Be Launched Next Year

After working on prototypes for many years, the first foldable pixel phone from Google could be introduced in 2022.

According to the report of 9 to 5 Google, the code of this phone is semi-pipette and this was hinted at by going deeper into the Google Camera APK.

There aren't many details about the design or features of this foldable phone but there are some things in the camera setup in the APK.

Its main camera will be equipped with a 12.2-megapixel sensor used by Google in Pixel 3 to Pixel 5 phones.

Similarly, it will have the same 12-megapixel Ultra Wide camera that is part of existing Pixel phones, while on the front there will be a dual camera setup and they will both have 8-megapixel sensors.

These two selfie cameras will be on either side of the body so that selfies can be taken in fond or unfolded form.

Interestingly, the back camera setup of the foldable phone will be less than that of the Pixel 6 due to the focus on the foldable system rather than the camera setup.

Samsung has also given a lower camera setup in foldable phones than the S series flagship phones.

The APK also has the words Pixel 2022 foldable, which suggests that Google may be introducing the first foldable phone.

Google recently announced plans to design an Android operating system for tablets and foldable devices.

The operating system, called Android 12L, will be introduced in 2022 and may be introduced on the first Pixel foldable phone.
