"In this world there are only two things for sure: death and paying taxes." Benjamin Franklin is often linked to this famous quote, but surely if the Founding Father of the United States had been born in the 21st century, he would also add the free PlayStation Plus video games.
Every month Sony gives video games to its PlayStation Plus users and May could not be less. After Oddworld: Soulstorm (for PS5), Days Gone, Zombie Army 4: Dead War and Jade's Ascension (PS4), Sony will return in a big way in May, however, the titles that will be released have not yet been revealed.
The most veteran of the panorama have been tying up the dots during these days that we have been in April to try to predict what games we will have available on PS Plus during May 2021. The first of them would be NieR: Automata (action role developed by PlatinumGames), while the second would be Yakuza: Like a Dragon (one of the last Sega titles).
Yakuza: Like a Dragon, May's bombshell on PlayStation Plus
Rumors point to a possible inclusion of Yakuza: Like a Dragon in the upcoming May 2021 video game catalog on PS Plus . This Sega hit combines a curious and absurd humor with street fights in which we can use almost any object we find on the street.
Its turn-based mechanics with battle teams of up to four people has been convincing fans of the saga since January 2020 , when Yakuza: Like a Dragon came out in Japan for PS4. Sony's next-gen game console had to wait until last month. Will it finally come to PlayStation Plus?
Automata on PlayStation Plus from May 2021?
For this second game, about which it has also been rumored in recent weeks, the proximity of the release of its sequel has a lot to do with it; Nier Replicant. It will be on April 23, 2021 when it sees the light and the publication of NieR: Automata on the PS Plus could help to finish capturing the hype among users.
Automata came out in 2017 to fit into the role playing genre. Developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix, in principle it would arrive on time to be part of the PlayStation Plus in May. The update in question would be scheduled for the first week of the aforementioned fifth month of 2021.
