The latest product from Facebook is sunglasses that look normal but with a little surprise. They have, built into the pins and the front, two cameras, three microphones and speakers.
The glasses are designed to record videos or take photos quickly and upload them almost instantly to Instagram or Facebook itself. They can also be used to listen to music or podcasts and although they have a button to shoot or start recording, they can also be controlled using just your voice.
SNAP ... WHAT?
The idea is not new and in a way it obeys a well-known strategy on the part of the company: if it works on another site, better integrate it into Facebook's social networks as soon as possible.
After all, the first glasses of this style, capable of taking photos and recording small videos, were released by Snap in 2016 for its social network, Snapchat. Since then it has released three different versions, with various designs.

Facebook, which was also "inspired" by Snapchat to create the Instagram Stories format, has not limited itself to releasing its own version of the product. It has partnered with the company Luxottica, owner of the Ray-Ban brand, to create a model based on the design of the iconic Wayfarer sunglasses.
500 PHOTOS
The glasses can store some photos and videos in an internal memory, but they need a connection with an app (available for iOS and Android) to be able to extract the content and upload it to social networks. They have space for about 30 videos of about 30 seconds or about 500 photos.

The integrated sensor has 5 megapixels and videos are recorded in a square format, with a resolution of 1,184 x 1,184 pixels. "They are an important first step towards a world where the phone is no longer the primary device," explains Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, in an introductory video about the product.
The glasses' internal battery has enough charge for about six hours of intermittent use, according to the company, and they charge in an hour inside the carrying case. They are not waterproof.
Ray-Ban offers them in five different colors and with the option of using graduated lenses. The glasses will be sold for 329 euros, although at first they will only be available in the US, Italy, Ireland, Canada and the United Kingdom.

In this way, the iPhone 4S will not be able to continue using WhatsApp normally from that date, as well as older Android phones. They are phones that are almost 5 years old, at least, so it is difficult for them to affect a large number of users.
In order to continue using WhatsApp on these mobiles, it will be necessary either not to update the phone when a new version of WhatsApp arrives or delete WhatsApp and download an APK with the old version of the app.
This opens the door to numerous problems, since an app that has not been updated or an old phone has security flaws that neither Apple nor Google solve because, at most, they support up to five years.
The only solution for those who have a phone that is no longer compatible with WhatsApp , but want the news that is about to come to the application, would be to buy a new phone.
